Die Pizza Mittags war die Beste, die wir jemals gegessen haben...

The staff were incredible- helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable, and just generally happy and lovely people to be around. Edgar was especially kind to our family and kids. My husband enjoyed sharing his love of animals with Carlos in the restaurant; they shared many conversations about the animals. Our kids loved horseback riding with Carlos; we got to see Scarlett macaws and spider monkeys from the horses along with beautiful views of Rio San Carlos. It was a tranquil place. We took leisurely meals right in front of the pond where we saw many different species of birds, coatis, caimans, agoutis, and even a tapir. Highly recommend!

All of the staff members were outstanding: reception, tour guides, dining room, bellhops, housekeeping and boat drivers. We would return to Maquenque in a heartbeat.

La cabane est isolée (mais tout confort) et nous a permis, avec de la patience, de voir des animaux sauvages : agoutis, aras, singes... Le tour de nuit était très sympa : caïmans, grenouilles, serpents... Ils prêtent des parapluies et des bottes. Petit dej luxueux.
Attention il faut savoir qu'il y a un peu de marche entre le bâtiment principal et les cabanes (10/15 min avec enfants)

The staff was super friendly, room spacious and of course clean with mini fridge and air conditioning, breakfast had lots of options with super tasty pancakes. All in all absolute highlight stay.

 Verified Fast luxuriös und viel Angebot in alle Richtungen
Eine sehr gut organisierte Lodge wo fast alles angeboten wird, was in Costa Rica sehenswert ist. Von der Restaurantterasse kann man sehr gute viele Tiere beobachten. Schon die Anreise mit dem Boots-Shuttle macht Spaß. Ein besonderes Highlight waren unsere Nächte im Baumhaus, das schon eher eine Luxusplattform in luftiger Höhe war, mitsamt Aircondition und Whirlpool auf dem Balkon. Das Restaurantpersonal ist sehr freundlich und professionell - mir manchmal schon fast etwas zu sehr einstudiert. Das ist aber ein subjektiver Eindruck ;-) Die Guides haben uns bei der Bootsfahrt viele Dinge gezeigt, die wir sonst wahrscheinlich gar nicht entdeckt hätten.

Diese Lodge ist für naturverbundende Reisende, welche gerne die Tier- und Pflanzenwelt erkunden, ein Geheimtipp. Wir hatten ein Baumhaus - diese Erfahrung war beeindruckend. Hier kann man einfach die Seele baumeln lassen und die verschiedenen Geräusche von Tieren, dem Regen und Wind auf sich wirken lassen! Das Frühstück ist sehr vielseitig und lecker. Das Essen kann man sich sogar ins Baumhaus liefern lassen. Diesen Service haben wir genutzt und hoch oben unseren Tuna genossen. Das Gepäck wird ins Baumhaus gebracht.

 Verified Beautiful treehouse
We had an amazing stay here as part of a 3 week trip. We stayed in a treehouse which was in the middle of the rain forest. The room was big and had a spa bath on the terrace. Our stay included a bird watching tour, nature tour, and boat trip which were spectacular. The bird watching particularly amazing. Breakfast was buffet style and views of the lake, toucans and other bird life plentiful around the breakfast are as well as coatis. Dinner was lovely with nice choices for vegetarians particularly the risotto. The river cruise was worth doing and saw lots of wildlife along the way. Would definitely recommend this lodge.

A great start to our Costa Rica adventure. Although the weather was rainy and a bit chilly, we still had a great time discovering wildlife and enjoying the activities. All staff are so welcoming and helpful. A special mention to Marco and Billy for a fantastic river trip and Luis for an interesting night tour. The rooms are a bit dark but comfortable.  Verified Baumhaus mitten im Dschungel
Tolles Baumhaus inmitten des Dschungels. Leider war unser Baumhaus bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Neues Mobiliar wäre wünschenswert. Die Atmosphäre war wunderbar- nicht nur dabei sondern mittendrin. Super für Tierbeobachtungen. Das Restaurant war uns persönlich zu gross, das essen ist jedoch sehr gut. Frühstück etwas „Massenabfertigung“.

Das Baumhaus war das beste, was uns passiert ist. spannend, hoch oben in den Gipfeln, einfach nur schön, total Abgeschiedenheit, absolute Ruhe und nur die Sprache der Natur, sprich Affen und alle möglichen kleinen Tiere, wunderschön. Die Mitarbeiter hier in diesem Resort sind einfach nur bemerkenswert, freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, würden wir jedem weiterempfehlen. Restaurant: guter Rote Beeren Salat

Quel coin de paradis . Les cabanes dans les arbres sont incroyables. Au milieu de la forêt , le silence, la déconnexion, juste les oiseaux et les singes . Tout est impeccable, l’accueil , les restaurants , les activités , les guides ( mention spéciale pour Luis Léon ) . Quel plaisir de prendre son petit déjeuner avec les oiseaux et les coatis . 1000 mercis à toute l’équipe ❤️🇨🇷

The Maquenque lodge is a beautiful place to stay, in the middle of the nature. There are Hundred of birds, kaaiman, crocodile, frogs, snakes, spiders, Coatí's, Agoeti's and more.... We recommend de boat tour Rio San Carlos with Marco the guide en Joey de captain. You can make the reservation on the Maquenque lodge. They offer a lot of trips. We also did the nighttour with our guide Luis. The restaurant is also nice, de waiter Henry was very kind.
